Inception Coming to DVD Soon by Isla Campell
Due for release in December, it’s no surprise that the creators of Inception are hoping to cash in on Christmas shopping sales. Being one of this year’s must-see movies, Inception was a refreshing change to a season of films that had relied heavily on unimaginative horror remakes and boring kids’ movies – with the exception of Toy Story 3, that is. But in a summer of Twilight and various vampire knock-offs, Inception gave the cinema-going masses something to truly look forward to and enjoy.
Significant enough in its plot turns and sharpness, Inception has deservedly won comparisons to The Matrix and managed to perform successfully at the box office. Now you can take the movie home and watch it in the comfort of your own living room – or pass it on to friends and family to give them the thorough wake-up call that the film so dramatically hammers home.
Join Dom Cobb, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, the skilled thief who works at his best in the world of dreams. Cobb’s rare and much-coveted ability allows him to literally steal ideas and knowledge from the subconscious minds of others when they are dreaming, as their minds are at their most vulnerable during that period. However, with a tremendous power such as Cobb’s, it not only makes him a highly desirable ally and employee, but it gives as much as it takes away and tragedy strikes when events occur that conclude in Cobb losing that which matters to him the most.
Just as all seems lost, Cobb is offered the chance to gain everything back by performing one final task. However, this is a job with a difference – instead of pulling ideas from someone’s mind, his task is to plant them instead. And as if that wasn’t difficult enough, someone from Cobb’s universe seems determined to stand in their way and appears to almost know Cobb and his team’s every move before they even begin it.
Inception is a thrilling, rollercoaster ride that had many audiences gasping for breath at its end. And if you haven’t seen it, you’ll definitely want to be an owner of the Inception DVD so you and your friends can gather round and take in the mind-blowing adventure of Cobb and those around him together. After watching the exciting climax, you may never look at going to bed the same way again. Sweet dreams!
